ACADIA Conference 2007 - Halifax

Last week - Oct.1 to Oct.7 - we traveled to Halifax. By "we" I am referring to the Dedale grad students; Candace Fempel, Darcy Fraser Macdonald, Gregory Rubin, Marnie Gartrell and myself. We were joined by fellow graduate students Matthew McFetrick and Amanda Yakiwchuk. The trip consisted of a 3 day Workshop (more on that later) and a 4 day Conference. The emphasis was on interactive architectures. It was a very interesting trip that involved a lot of rope tangling & untangling, circuits, NITONOL, laser cutting, pub crawling, networking, hostel swapping, lobster eating, used bookstore-ing, hoodie discrimination (long story) and drunken flying.
